The Righteous Sin is a must read novel that will take you on an emotional rollercoaster as it addresses important contemporary topics that other novels dare not mention.

The Righteous Sin will have you looking at the way you view the world, yourself, love, faith, and sin.

Sister Georgina has devoted her whole life to embodying her idea of a perfect Christian woman, in order to become the perfect Christian wife. Sister Georgina’s faith in God and His ultimate plan for her life is unwavering. She never hesitates to push her beliefs onto anyone who is willing to listen and quite a few who aren’t. Sister Georgina finds that her quest for “holy perfection” leads her straight into a world of alienation, but still she doesn’t mind. Her holier than thou attitude gets torn down but she still finds a way to build herself back up by leaning on her Faith. She believes in her heart that if she keeps to God’s plan, He will provide everything that she desires, but Sister Georgina discovers that, unfortunately, things don’t always go as planned.

Dr. Berry has created a touching redemption story. She has woven a thoughtful story, with a deeply flawed but compelling central character.

I had to read the book in little chunks as it was so raw. I didn’t want to identify with the main character but had no choice because it was me. After reading the book I was able to make decisions that I put off making for years. Thank you Sister Georgina for showing me the way.

I really liked this book. It has changed my way of thinking and helped me think differently. It’s made me realize that I am not the only one going through things and that I can get through the other side

The book, The Righteous Sin, has changed my life…. I had the book for about 8 months collecting dust. I started and stopped until one cold Saturday morning, I committed to completing the book, I restarted from chapter 7 to the end… I was glued to the book until I finished although I had to take a deep breath and step back every so often because of the main characters emotional challenges, desperation for marriage (sex), and her coping mechanisms touched home. The main characters life story may not have been exactly like mines, however, as I was read the book I felt like she was my twin….I have never read a book that moved me internally. If you wonder why you’re stuck or unhappy this book will open your eyes to the Why and most important the steps to the How to heal and move into happiness…I plan to share this book with my family & friends for Kwanzaa. It’s a must read…especially for women and others interested in helping people move towards self-actualization

The Righteous Sin is a remarkably accomplished first novel. At its heart is Sister Georgina, a powerfully realized character who will alternately frustrate you and leave you aching with sympathy for her as her hopes and dreams for happiness are first disappointed and then cruelly crushed. Will she find deliverance from her desolation? That is the question that will keep you turning the pages of this compelling story until the end.

More than a novel, this book made me think about the choices I’ve made in my life and why I do what I do. Having the courage to own my life’s journey, with its ups and downs came through again and again. The main character’s life spoke to me in many ways, and I was totally engaged in reading to find out what would happen with her. I highly recommend this book for anyone who wants a good read that can impact his or her life. This book can and should be read on many levels. Thank you G.I. Berry.
